Niu Lai reviews: why the divided response?
Euronews reports criticism of the stiff animation and voice acting alongside appreciation for its handmade look. Yunnan Daily's cinema review finds emotional value in the calf's growth while acknowledging the rough visuals.
Our take: decide whether you are curious about the story, the animation, or the meme phenomenon. Those are different reasons to watch, and a viral hand-drawn poster alone cannot tell you how the film will feel.
Niu Lai soundtrack and ending song
Yunnan Daily credits Sun Lifang with writing and performing the ending song. A complete official track list and an authorized soundtrack download have not been verified for this guide.
